The Words and Tones we choose with Chi Energy Training
The words we choose and the tones we use when speaking have a powerful impact on everything around us.
The Bible, for example, points to the power of language; chief among the examples is that God spoke the existence of the universe into being. Furthermore, the books of Proverbs (18:21) and James (3:6) warn against the destructive power of our words. Early on in my School of Chi Energy training, Sifu Jones explained to me that when dealing with others who are not engaged in the mindful activity of building their energy directly through the development of their nerve fibers, it’s in my best interest to keep the “kids gloves” on. The idea is to be gentle with them as though I were play boxing a toddler – regardless of physical age or development, our energy output is so much higher than that of the average person; it simply isn’t fair, as they will not know what hit them.
And for the most part, this is easy to do… But what is equally important is that we, who are aware of our spirit nature, remain actively mindful and gentle with our animal host shells. The animal host body wants what it wants, and many times, it is diametrically opposed to the goals of the spirit. To that end, it is important for us to think and speak in round tones (in our energy circular form) that comfort the animal host while maintaining authority over it.
Before a high level chi energy super set workout, and even throughout the day, I remind my body that, if it helps me and is patient with me, the results will benefit it, making it younger, stronger, faster, and less prone to illness and damage. The body likes those words. I also tell my body that it has done a good job after a workout and encourage it to do better next time, giving my body a small pat on the back of encouragement, and at the same time, coaching it forward. The separation between body and spirit will grow more and more, and it is important that we make sure we take care of our host shells. Using kids’ gloves as we speak and engage our animal body is the best way to achieve what we want from it.
Enjoy the journey!
